Rules for Panel Discussions

• Maximum 14 number of panelists participated in one panel discussion.
• Maximum time for panel discussion is 45 minutes.
• Languages for discussion are English, Hindi or Punjabi.
• There is One Moderator for each panel of discussion.
• Before ending, each panelist has opportunity to provide closing remarks.
• At end moderator will conclude their views for topic of discussion.
• Maximum time for Questions are 05 minutes.

ACT  TO SELL – AD MAD SHOW

• It is a team event. Each team should have 3-5 members.
• Teams will be required to come up with the innovative ads.
• For shortlisted team Topics would be provided on the spot.
• 5 minutes preparation for each team.
• Teams have to make a new product name, punch line and advertise the product/brand given to them.
• Time allowed is 2-5 minutes.
• Props are allowed.
• Participants shall be judged on the basis of spontaneity, content, adherence to the topic, on-stage presentation, coordination and overall appeal of the advertisement.
• Participants cannot copy existing advertisement.
• Decision of the judges will be final and binding.

RULES FOR MEHENDI COMPETITION

• Participants will have to get their own volunteers (One individual on whom mehendi will be applied).
• Mehendi has to be applied only on one hand
• Participants must bring their own material. (mehndi cone , Lemon Juice,Etc.)
• Participants have to apply mehendi on the Palmer as well as the dorsall side of the hand
• No reference material will be allowed once the competition has begun
• Participants who are late will not be given extra time.
• No exchange of materials between participants will be entertained.
• Time allotted- 1 Hour.(Event timing 11 am)
• Final decision in all matters will remain with the judges.

Registration Rules

• All undergraduate students enrolled in an AICTE approved engineering program of ECE/EE/EEE/ELE are permitted to enter the contest.

Round 1: Preliminary Round

• All the registered teams shall have to appear in this objective questions based quiz.
• The quiz will consist of two sections: Section A & Section B.
• Section A will consist of 10 questions from the concepts of “Basic Electronics & Electrical devices”.
• Section B will consist of 15 questions from “Basic circuit designing concepts”.
• Maximum Time allowed to attempt this quiz will be 30 minutes.
• Each question will carry 1 mark. There will be a negative marking of ¼ per incorrect answer.
• 05 teams will be shortlisted to appear in “Round 2: Design Round”.
• In case of tie, the team scoring higher in section B of the quiz will be selected for next round.

Round 2: Design Round

• The shortlisted teams would be given with a question paper of circuit schematic based design problem comprising of two sections: Section A: Circuit Analysis (carrying 10 marks) Section B: Circuit Designing (carrying 20 marks)
• There will be no negative marking in this round.
• Participating teams shall bring scientific calculators of their own.
• Participating teams will be provided with all the necessary equipments & components at the venue.
• Maximum Time allowed to attempt this design problem will be 45 minutes.
• In case of tie, the team scoring higher in section B of the quiz will be selected for next round.

• The digital camera should have a memory card which will be formatted by the judges before the commencement of the contest.
• The participant has to capture 4 photographs on the theme announced on the spot by the judges.
• No mixing, matching or morphing of photographs will be permitted
• Software such as Photoshop etc. for enhancing image not permitted.
• The organizers will have all rights for the use of these pictures as and when they deem fit.
• Digital images are evaluated on the basis of (i) Impact (ii) Composition (iii) Technical
• Quality (iv) Suitability for the specific theme.
• Additional instructions will be announced on the spot.

Rules for Paper Poster Making

• The time allotted for poster presentations is 90 minutes.
• Poster size: A2 sheet (42.0cm x 59.4cm).
• Participants should have their own sheet, colours or other required materials.
• Topic will be declared on spot.
• Each Poster shall be introduced by including the title and name of the author.
• Use of internet is strictly not allowed.

• Each team must consists of two members.
• All the registered team will have to undergo a preliminary round in which the teams will be asked to answer a particular set of quiz questions based on C++, Java.

Rules for final round:

• Every team will be given with same problems.
• Contestants in the same team can discuss the problems they are assigned. However, they should do so in a quiet way and without disturbing contestants in other teams.
• Each team will be allowed to use only a single computer and must write and test their programs on that machine, within the contest room.
• Moreover, each team has to solve the problems given on the spot in a given time.
• The winning criteria depends how fast you perform the questions.
• Time given: 1 hour and 30 minutes.

• In final round, a theme for web designing will be given to all the participants.
• Final Round will be of one hour 15 minutes.
• First 15 minutes will be for Internet Access.
• Notepad++ will be given to participants to code HTML/CSS
• No functional properties are required while creating the website design, only the design of the website need to be implemented.
• The criteria of winner depends on the basis of how well you design the website.

Preliminary Round

Team Specifications

• Each team must consists of three members.
• All the registered team will have to undergo a preliminary round in which the teams will be asked to answer a particular set of quiz questions.
• The top five teams will be shortlisted for the Final Stage Quiz.

On Stage Quiz :Round 1 (Questioning)

• Each Team would be asked two questions.
• 10 marks for each correct answer, No negative marking will be there.
• Answering time is 30 seconds only.

On Stage Quiz :Round 2 (Buzzer Round)

• This round would be the buzzer round.
• 10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong answer.
• Answering time is 2 minutes only.

On Stage Quiz :Round 3 (Audio Visual)

• This round would be the audiovisual round.
• 10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong answer.
• Each team would be asked two audiovisual questions.
• Answering time is 30 seconds only.
• If a team cannot answer the question than the question would be forwarded to the next team.

• After you have submitted the soft copy, a panel of judges will go through your material and if you are shortlisted to give the presentation, you will be notified.
• The decision of judges will be final and no arguments or appeal will be entertained.

ORAL PRESENTATION

• Paper should not exceed 6 pages and presentation should not exceed 15 slides.
• Bring your PowerPoint presentation on a pen-drive.

• If any paper is found unformatted then the participant can be eliminated on the spot without any further arguments.
• Soft-copies of the submitted paper must be in .docx format and PowerPoint presentations must be in the .pptx format.
• Please bring 1 hardcopy of the submitted paper on the day of the event.
• The teams will get 10 minutes for presentation followed by question and answer session. The presentation time is for 7 minutes and queries for 3 minutes for each paper.

POSTER PRESENTATION

• Poster should be presented in “3 feet Flex Sheet”.
• The teams can be asked for presenting their Poster (if required).
• Please mention the details of all the participants in footers of flex sheet along with contact number of atleast one participant.

Rules for Preliminary Round:

• The competition is for 2 hours and will start at 10:30 AM in CTIEMT Workshop.
• One participant is allowed in one of the following shops Machine shop, fitting shop, carpentry shop, sheet metal shop and welding shop, except smithy shop (maximum two participants).
• One job will be shown to each participant and he has to document the sequence of different operations to be followed for the manufacturing of that job.
• Job has to be prepared by following the same sequence of operations as described by the participant documents.
• Material and tools will be given to the students.
• The finished job will be evaluated based on accuracy, finishing, dimensions.

• This art is known different in various regions such as mandna, alpana, alekhan, kolam, rangoli etc. For this the medium and form for expression can be free hand pictorial descriptive.
• Participants shall have to prepare a rangoli with in the space provided by the organizers.
• Topic/theme will be given on the spot by the judges
• Accessory e.g. sieve, spoon and scale etc are allowed
